Sweet Tooth, by Zak Smolen
This photograph, of a young boy chewing on freshly cut sugar cane, was taken by B3 student Zak Smolen in Villa Guerrero, Dominican Republic in February 2009. Zak’s team constructed several small (70 Sq. M.) cinder block homes in Villa Guerrero, to replace the wooden shacks the families had previously lived in, before their homes were destroyed by several strong hurricanes that swept over the island.
